The Crestwood Early Childhood Center is proud to announce that our program has been rated as "Demonstrating Quality" (formerly known as 5 stars)—the highest rating possible from the state of Michigan! After completing an extensive application process, Great Start to Quality conducted an on-site visit to two of our classrooms. Both classrooms demonstrated high-quality practices, which earned us this outstanding rating. Congratulations to everyone who helped make this possible. This is a testament to the fact that the new Crestwood Early Childhood Center is a premier preschool program in Dearborn Heights.

From our friends at the Dearborn Heights Public Library: As the school year winds down the Dearborn Heights Library is gearing up for some fun, free summer activities that will help students remain engaged with literacy and help prevent summer slide. Our Activity Boxes are back again this summer! Registration is online only at dhlibrary.org (Monday, June 3 - Saturday, June 29). The Activity Boxes are free and will be home delivered. Every registered family gets a Family Supplies box that contains markers, crayons, glue, scissors, and chalk. Each registered individual receives an Activity Box containing coloring pages, crafts, and a science activity. Anyone can sign up for boxes (including adults!) and younger children can participate with the help of a grown up. The boxes are geared toward elementary ages, but older and younger children will likely enjoy them as well. Delivery: Monday, July 15 - Saturday, July 20. -It is 100 percent free. -Everyone can participate, regardless of what city a student may live in. -The library delivers the boxes directly to homes, so no transportation is required. https://www.dhcl.michlibrary.org/

Hello Crestwood Families! We are excited to announce that registration is open for our Multi-age Tuition Preschool Program! We are located in the brand new Crestwood Early Childhood Center at 1045 N. Gulley. This program is for children ages 3 & 4. Children must be 3 years old by September 1, 2024 to enroll. There is a $75 non-refundable registration fee required to hold your child's spot. Crestwood Child Care Center Preschool Registration for 2023-2024

Crestwood School District is thrilled to announce that Hillcrest Elementary School's first grade teacher, Mrs. Dana Kronk, has been honored as the Detroit Red Wings Teacher of the Year! The Detroit Red Wings Teacher of the Month program, presented by Burns and Wilcox, was established to express gratitude and appreciation for Michigan teachers and educators. Mrs. Dana Kronk was one of six finalists for the Detroit Red Wings Teacher of the Year, a title that comes with a $5,000 prize and a virtual meet and greet with a Red Wings player. Dr. Youssef Mosallam, Superintendent of Schools, shared his pride and gratitude for Mrs. Kronk's achievements: "It is an honor and a privilege to be part of the Crestwood School Team with teachers like Mrs. Kronk. Mrs. Kronk epitomizes our mission and our vision as a school district. We thank the Detroit Red Wings for this honor and recognition. And we thank Mrs. Kronk for all she does." Nassrine Saad, Principal of Hillcrest Elementary, expressed her delight for Mrs. Kronk's esteemed recognition: "We are overjoyed by this esteemed recognition, and we wholeheartedly embrace the feelings expressed by every student, staff member, and family in our Hillcrest community.
