The Crestwood Great Start Readiness Program exists to provide developmentally appropriate practices in a safe and nurturing environment. We believe that every child deserves a quality education and therefore are dedicated to promoting the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in each individual we interact with. Our goal is to foster a desire to be life-long learners and responsible citizens in each of our children.
Highly-qualified teachers: Lead Teachers required to have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Associate Teachers required to have at least a

The Creative Curriculum® is a comprehensive, research-based curriculum that features inquiry, exploration, and discovery as the foundation of all learning. As a content- rich, developmentally appropriate curriculum, it delivers academic rigor alongside social-emotional learning and cognitive development.
The GOLD Assessment follows widely held (state) expectations for children from birth through third grade and enables a whole-child approach to assessment. Meaningful reports inform classroom practices and individualized instruction.
Each classroom has a daily schedule of activities that includes:

Breakfast, Lunch & Snack
Rest Time
Monday through Friday from 8:15 am to 3:15 pm.
Two Home Visits per year
Two Parent/Teacher Conferences per year
Parent Involvement Activities
Age Requirement: Must be age 4 on or before December 1, 2024
Each child and/or family must have qualifying eligibility factors to be considered for enrollment.

**Once eligibility for the Great Start Readiness Program is determined, children will be selected for the program based on the greatest need first. Once all slots are full, other students will be placed on the waiting list.
Great Start Readiness Program is a State of Michigan funded preschool program for four-year-old children with factors which may place them at risk of educational failure, qualification required.
